I love how people are able to define themselves with a few good words.Since i can't do it, i will just say what i want to say. My name is Nurul.I'm 19. I love to indulge in my latest addiction called K-POP. It means korean pop. I take a very long time to warm up to people so that's a huge turn off point of mine. I have major issues dealing with my emotions,it'll be unlucky to catch me when i'm not myself. I love sports & nature, maybe that's because i come from a family full of boys. I get preoccupied with things pretty quick too.And i like to procrastinate. And also, i hate getting too much attention.Other than that, i'm just a boring kid trying to figure out what's life has in store for me.♥ :)

Like i've said before in my LJ(for those who read them), i'm active at night and it seems like i love to blog at really unusual times. For your info, it's 6 am on a Wednesday morning now.Well i guess i should write an entry since i'm not lazy (and tired yet!) and that i have a mood to write. So what should i write about? Well school is about to reopen soon in a couple of days and i'm actually unprepare for it yet. It's not about the new school term, it's more about the fact that this term(i guess that's what they call it) will be the last one with ISB. We've spent nearly 2 years together and the sudden thought of parting is difficult.I remember how everyone(well, almost) got along with one another during the earlier times of our college days, those malu2 kucing,"awak-saya" period.Haha! But parting is a part of life that we can't avoid.Just like oneself, we will part with our loved ones too one day.So let's just make the best of the time we have and hope to make beautiful memories.:)
I've also been busy with work.3 of my colleagues have gone back to their countries because their contract has ended. It's sad to part with them because though i've been there for just a few months, we were quite close to one another. The good thing is that they'll be coming back to Singapore again soon but how soon is soon?I don't even know if i will still be there.I wished i will be there for as long as i can.The people i've met there are really nice people. And i've really learnt alot from working.Gaining not only new experiences, but a new me.Some people told me i've changed. But i sure hope this is for the better. At least this person right now is a much more happier person than she was before.

The date 24- 26 Sept marks the date of one of the most biggest event of the year, The Singtel SG Grand Prix. Me and a couple of my classmates were fortunate to be chosen to volunteer for this year's night race! Not only is the pay wonderful, (it's $308 for 3 days + bonus) there will surely be lots and lots of experience to be learn.
Me and 2 of my friends, Jannah and Humai were positioned at Gate 3, Zone 4. There's a total of 4 zones and 6 gates. Apparently without our knowledge in the beginning, it didn't occur to us that Gate 3 would be the biggest gate with the highest no of patrons coming in. We thought that all gates are the same, or probably the gates at Zone 1 are the biggest because that's where the racers are located at. Along with some other places such as the Pit and the VIP Suite.
But on the last day of the event, we learnt about the truth. To be able to handle more than 32,000 patrons together as 1 with other ushers at Gate 3 is really an awesome feeling. I like the fact that everyone worked together to help each other despite no really knowing each other well. Even better, I got to be one of the leaders! I was surprised at 1st that my Trainer would appoint me as a leader out of 45 others but she told me that she picked me, and a fellow usher named Benjamin because she could only remember us. Haha! Back then, I was seated at the back of the bus along with Ben and his friends together with my trainer Hani. We chatted and joked around and while helping Hani to take attendance, we also got to know each other a little better. This gave me an opportunity to cultivate and sharpen my leadership skills because I rarely get such positions.
Overall, it was a time well spent gaining new experiences, friends and learning more about my strengths and weaknesses.
I LOVE GATE 3 F1 USHERS YEAR 2010!
